Marcus Hamilton Marcus Hamilton, Managing Director and the founder of the PLANtoWIN™ Process.
An Economics graduate, he started marketing with Shell and BP Oil, pursued a career in line marketing management with increasing general management responsibility within large and small companies.
Whilst Managing Director of a development training organisation, he was chosen by Lucas Industries to lead their marketing training / development activity where he held group-wide responsibilities for marketing and commercial training and development. There he developed and implemented a portfolio of strategic marketing and commercial training, software to support learning and best practice, and the most advanced process for winning complex and large scale business. He started Marcus Hamilton & Associates in early 1997 using this expertise to provide services to corporations such as Boeing and General Dynamics in the USA and Europe.
Marcus is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, gained an Executive MBA from Bath University School of Management in 1993, formed the PLANtoWIN Group in 2001 and lives near Birmingham, U.K.
David MacLeod David MacLeod, an experienced Sales and Global account Director with a strong process orientation. As a Professional Engineer he moved into sales engineering and went on to hold a number of Sales Management positions within the Automotive and Capital Equipment sectors. He worked extensively in U.K., France, Germany, USA and Japan and became Director of Marketing for Lucas Electrical and Electronics adding responsibility for Advanced Systems Development when this became LucasVarity's largest Division. As UK Regional Director and Global Account Director for TRW he gained further experience in helping to integrate the Sales operations and processes of two major international businesses.
David lives in Herefordshire and is a member of the PLANtoWIN Group Executive.
Martyn Laycock Martyn Laycock, a successful general manger who focuses on strategic positioning, major change programmes and performance improvement - always orientated towards genuinely becoming World Class. A Mathematics graduate from London University, with 30 years in the automotive industry with Lucas, LucasVarity and TRW. He held General Management positions in both the Diesel and Electronics Divisions in the UK and Europe (France and Spain) and senior directorial functional roles in IT, Manufacturing and Purchasing. His broad experience includes various Board directorships - particularly in start up ventures.
Martyn lives in the West Midlands and is a member of the PLANtoWIN Group Executive.
James Thorne James Thorne, an inspirational facilitator and marketing expert with global experience as a business leader in professional service organisations. As a Founding Partner and Managing Director of Strat*X, a Paris-based business strategy training consultancy he managed the business development, for over 50 leading companies across almost every sector of business in over 25 different countries.
He has also taught on Executive Programmes at INSEAD, Ashridge, MCE and the CIM and his recent clients include American Express, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, ICI, Mars, Novartis, Shell Oil, UK Post Office, and Volkswagen.
James has an MBA with Honours from INSEAD (France), an MA in Modern Languages from Cambridge University, is bilingual English/French and speaks fluent German.
Bruce van Barthold Bruce van Barthold, graduated in the UK, and then worked for 10 years at the prestigious ENA school in Paris preparing ministers, diplomats, ambassadors and politicians for the rigours of the Commission in Brussels.
Subsequently Bruce joined STRATX, a consultancy and training company where his client list included GM, Philip Morris, Kodak, The Post Office, Novartis, Nestle designing and delivering courses around the world. Bruce also jointly presented several courses in the Strategic Marketing of Services at the INSEAD business school and continues to participate in their Global Strategy course. He has recently specialised in pharmaceutical marketing and strategy.
In parallel, Bruce was asked to join an MTI, an organisational development company which gives personalised coaching to senior management, both on leadership style and group dynamics. He has helped develop modules for BASF, Nokia and Oracle in Germany France and the UK.
Now with the PLANtoWIN Group, Bruce works in both French and English and is based in France.
Niall McDonagh Niall McDonagh, specialises in marketing, strategy and customer focus.
During the last 15 years, he has designed and led executive development programmes and facilitated strategic change projects in marketing and strategy for companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, BT, General Electric, General Motors, GlaxoSmithKline, ntl:Telewest, Oracle, Rolls-Royce and The Post Office as well as for two leading management consulting firms. He has been engaged in client projects in more than 25 countries across Europe, North America and Asia, with managers representing over 60 different nationalities.
Until 2006, Niall was the UK Managing Director of StratX, an international management consultancy, and was responsible for managing and developing the business in the UK & Europe, leading client projects and managing key client relationships.
Niall has a BSc in Modern Languages and Business Management, is a member of the The Marketing Society, The Institute of Directors and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is married with two children and lives in St Albans, UK.
Eric Harding Eric Harding has gained wide ranging experience, over 35 years, in sales, marketing, customer relations and supply chain management. He has worked in the Chemical, Automotive, Retail and Industrial Services sectors in the UK, Europe, Africa, Far East and USA.

Eric has led successful sales and customer relations teams and managed the accounts of most of the major global brand owners in the Grocery sector.
Involvement in a number of strategic projects includes JV formation in Japan, market launch strategy in USA, company set-up in Scandinavia. He was Sales & Marketing Director of CHEP UK and Senior Vice President of CHEP Europe.

He has a Chemistry degree and an MBA and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport. He is married with two children and lives in Wimbledon.
Richard Murray Richard Murray is a professional management consultant specialising in strategy, marketing and sales. He assists clients to improve business performance through adding customer value to products and services by identifying market opportunities, developing marketing strategy, and achieving effective implementation through positive customer focus and culture change.
He has training and consultancy interests in the UK and the Middle East, is a Director of the Richmond Group of Independent Management Consultancies and a Course Director for the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Richard is a Chartered Marketer, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Certified Management Consultant and Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultancy. He was previously Director of a London-based marketing and training consultancy with a strong automotive client base and his industry background included international marketing strategy, marketing planning, new business development and key account selling roles with Castrol, BP and L'Oreal.
Richard’s clients include ABB, GKN, Michelin, Shell International, SKF, and TMC.
Joan O'Callaghan Joan O'Callaghan, a manufacturing and best practice professional with international experience.
After graduation, progressed through Lucas Industries in manufacturing supervision and business planning roles. Upon completion of a Masters Degree in Business Analysis, worked in the Packaging Industry as a Business Planning Executive. Returned to the Automotive Industry to run the operations in a green-field, capital intensive manufacturing site prior to three years as Plant Manager in the USA. As Best Practice Director for the Electronics Division of TRW, had global responsibility for the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and business improvement programmes.
In 2002, set up Best Practice Solutions working with construction, utility and aerospace companies delivering manufacturing and business process improvements.
Raglan Tribe Raglan Tribe brings creative expertise in strategy, technical and R&D management.
Managing Director of the Management & Technology Consulting business - Mindsheet Limited, which he started early in 2003.
Previously Raglan was the Group Research and Development Director of De La Rue plc, a £650M international business specialising in the production of banknotes and cash handling machines.
His earlier career includes 12 years automotive experience as the Chassis Systems Director of TRW Automotive, the R&D Director for Lucas Varity Automotive and Head of Advanced Product Development for Lucas Industries. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems and upon graduation he gained 5 years Systems Engineering experience at British Aerospace.
Gordon Davidson Gordon Davidson is a Chartered Engineer and graduate of London University. Following an apprenticeship and early experience in heavy engineering he joined Lucas Aerospace where he held a range of technical and marketing management positions. His experience gained in design and product development has proved invaluable in its application to strategic marketing. Wider commercial experience was gained during a period as Commercial Director of Griffis Metals, a precious metals refiner and as a commodity trader with United Coal Company. He has experience of business negotiations in many overseas countries and has worked while a resident of the USA and of Canada in addition to the UK.
After moving into sales engineering in the early 70s, a key period in the development of marketing, Gordon’s experience has grown with the discipline. He is a firm believer in the power of strategic marketing and has many years experience in its application to winning key contracts. Before joining the PLANtoWIN Group he was Market Development Manager at TRW Aerospace where he gained hands on experience of the PLANtoWIN process and of optimising its benefits to the company’s marketing strategy.
Michael van der Matten Michael van der Matten is a highly experienced project manager with 35 years of experience in different sectors of industry and NGO's.
After an MSc in aeronautical engineering he started his career in sophisticated aerospace projects, including joint Netherlands - NASA projects developing astronomy satellites. In 1979 Michael moved to the UK and was as technical director responsible for the development of an advanced range of instruments for applications in the food industry and agriculture. Michael set up the marketing network in over 30 countries worldwide including obtaining approval from commercial and government organisations.
Later as Development Director in the hotel industry he responsibility for developing property for over 15 hotels in UK and investigating the feasibility of projects in continental Europe, USA and Indonesia.
Michael has worked as consultant for charities and in hospitality projects was a trustee and executive director for an international charity. He enjoys the challenges of initiating and completing projects either as team leader or team member.
Dr Mike Kearsley Dr Mike Kearsley MA, PhD, FIPD, FCIMC is a management consultant, specializing in sales, marketing, business planning and research and business development.
He was formerly responsible for internal marketing and business development training with Coopers & Lybrand, a top performing IBM salesman and manager, the Marketing Director for Bowring Marsh McLennan, and Managing Director of his own business which included an IBM dealership and a mailing/business development consultancy.
He has provided business planning and training for many major companies (Barclays, GE Capital, Hewlett Packard, ICL, IBM, KPMG, Lex, Siemens, Philips, Visteon etc). These have included initiatives towards national accreditations - Investors in People, National Vocational Qualifications and National Training Awards.
He has lectured on sales and business planning and development for the Institute of Management, the Sales Trainers Association, the Institute of Personnel and Development and the Institute of Management Consultancy.
Will Odling Will Odling is a professional business coach and experienced leadership development tutor with a strong general management background.
Qualified as chartered quantity surveyor and chartered builder, his career began in commercial roles for major civil engineering and building companies including Amey and Balfour Beatty in the UK, Far East and Middle East. This led to general management and Managing Director roles in housing and public private partnership developments.
He then moved into support services as main board director of Business Post Group plc and managing director of Amtrak Express Parcels Limited. Board responsibilities have included MD, operations, sales, IT, franchise, commercial and international. Personal span of control up to 2,500 people and £70m turnover.
